NOV. 18 I THE MIDWEST CLINIC I SHOWS
2009 Midwest Clinic Moves
to McCormick Place
The Midwest Clinic, an international band and orchestra conference, will move to McCormick Place West in Chicago for 2009. All Midwest Clinic sessions will take place in this location. McCormick Place West provides ballrooms, an exhibit hall, and lounges and large clinic rooms. Registration, exhibit and advertising fees will not increase from their 2008 levels.
“While examining this possible move, the question we kept returning to was, ‘Will attendees have a better experience at this venue?’” said Kelly Jocius, executive director of the Midwest Clinic. “The longer and harder we looked, the clearer the answer became: yes. We are excited about the opportunity to deliver this promise.”
The 2009 Midwest Clinic conference at McCormick Place West will be held Dec. 15–19. The historic site of the conerfence, the Hilton Chicago, will continue to be Midwest Clinic's co-headquarters and a strategic partner. Attendees may stay at the hotel and use a free shuttle service between the downtown area and McCormick Place West.
The 2008 Midwest Clinic will be held Dec. 16–20 and will include 70 clinics, 40 concerts and more than 350 exhibitors from the music industry.
