Sweetwater Partners with We Make Noise for Songwriting, Production Camp

Sweetwater has partnered with We Make Noise to host a three-day songwriting and production camp for female artists. This intensive workshop will take place on Sweetwater’s campus in Fort Wayne, Indiana, from August 29–31.

We Make Noise, a nonprofit focused on advancing gender equity in music and technology, is hosting a series of WMN Sessions across the United States. Fort Wayne is the only Midwest stop on the tour. In partnership with Sweetwater, the late-August session will be a weekend of creativity, collaboration, and hands-on studio experience. Participants will create original music, build meaningful industry connections, and work in the state-of-the-art Sweetwater Studios.

Each day of the camp emphasizes creativity and collaboration in a safe, supportive and inspiring environment. Attendees will be guided by industry professionals. At the Fort Wayne event, participants will also be mentored by Melanie Charles, a Brooklyn-born singer, songwriter, actress and flutist. Charles is known for her sound that blends jazz, soul and experimental elements, with her Haitian roots.

In addition to learning from world-class talent, participants will be immersed in Sweetwater’s recording studio. They will work side by side with WMN mentors and the award-winning Sweetwater Studios staff.

The workshop is designed for women ages 18 and older with intermediate-to-advanced experience in songwriting, production or performance. The cost for the full weekend — including meals, creative resources, and access to all programming — is $500. Full and partial scholarships are available, and no one will be turned away due to lack of funds. The application deadline is July 24.
