Play Drums Wants to Help MI Retailers Celebrate IDM

PlayDrums.com, formerly known as the Percussion Marketing Council, said it wants to help MI retailers drive traffic and build new customer relationships with its Lesson with a Master giveaway during this upcoming May’s International Drum Month. MI retailers can share and promote the free Lesson with a Master Drummer giveaway to help grow their drumming audience.

Beginning April 20, drummers from MI stores across the country can register at PlayDrums.com to win a free one-hour personalized lesson with one of these nationally recognized artists: Todd Sucherman, Jason Gianni, Sheri Maricle and Mike Mangini.

Drummers will be able to enter to win a one-hour online video lesson with their choice of drummers at PlayDrums.com. The special “Lesson with a Master” promotion is open mid-April through May 31 to anyone 14 years of age and older who have been playing drums for a minimum of one year. Each artist will also engage participants and attract new entries via social media channels throughout International Drum Month.

In addition to the virtual Zoom lesson with a master drummer, if the winner has identified an MI store as their local music retailer, PlayDrums.com will give the winner $200 to spend on new gear or drum lessons. Music retailers interested in partnering with this promotion and being listed on the website should register at www.PlayDrums.com/retailers and download the free Drum Month promotional toolkit.

“With the assistance of our members, we are excited to present these masterful drummers, representing Aquarian, Paiste, Remo, SABIAN, Vater and Yamaha, as participants in this year’s International Drum Month Lesson with a Master campaign,” said Antoinette Follett, PMC executive director. “On top of the amazing lesson experience, we want to help connect these drummers with their local music retailer with a gift card to add to their percussion gear or to engage in lessons on a regular schedule.”

As the official trade association of the percussion industry, PlayDrums.com connects the activities of our members, drummers, and percussion community. The success and ongoing development of PlayDrum.com programs are a direct result of the support and commitment of our Percussion Marketing Council members.
