UA Giving Day Brings in More Than $150K for Ukraine
Universal Audio has announced the results of its UA Giving Day, benefitting humanitarian relief efforts for the Ukrainian people.
On March 16, UA donated 100% of the day’s online store proceeds — $152,247 — to World Central Kitchen, Doctors Without Borders and Community Organized Relief Effort, three organizations actively supporting the needs of civilians in the wake of the ongoing crisis in Ukraine.
“We at Universal Audio have been stunned and saddened by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine leaving millions of people displaced and in fear for their lives, families and country,” said Sandeep Gupta, COO of Universal Audio. “By contributing to relief efforts and implementing business practices that add weight to the ever-growing mountain of pressure on Russia, we are doing everything we can to support the people of Ukraine. Our hearts are especially with those in our UA family who live and work in Kyiv.”
The UA Giving Day for Ukraine is just one of the many charitable giving efforts supported by Universal Audio’s year-round UA Giving Program.
