Samson Appoints Ty Vaughn as Head of Product Development
Ty Vaughn
Samson Distribution has appointed Ty Vaughn as head of product development. In this role, Vaughn will lead the company’s product development strategy, overseeing every stage of the product lifecycle across Samson and its distributed brands.
Vaughn joins Samson following a career in professional audio and music. Most recently, he served as associate director of product management for a global manufacturer of professional audio equipment. During his tenure, he led end-to-end product development initiatives across high-revenue categories, driving product vision, roadmap strategy, and go-to-market execution for live sound, studio, and content creation solutions.
In his new position, Vaughn will focus on shaping the next generation of Samson products — defining long-term strategy, accelerating innovation, and delivering solutions that meet the evolving needs of musicians, creators, and audio professionals worldwide. His experience uniquely combines hands-on technical expertise with strategic product leadership, enabling him to translate real-world user needs into innovative, commercially successful products.
“I’m incredibly honored to step into the role of Head of Product Development at Samson,” Vaughn said. “The company has a rich legacy of empowering musicians, creators, and audio professionals, and I’m excited to help shape the next chapter of innovation. I also want to recognize and deeply respect the work Doug Bryant has done since the inception of Samson — his vision and leadership helped build the foundation of this company, and I’m committed to carrying that legacy forward while building the future of Samson.”
“We are truly excited to welcome Ty to Samson,” said Branislav Zivkovic, Samson president. “His depth of experience, strategic mindset, and genuine connection to the music and audio community make him an exceptional fit for our organization. I am particularly looking forward to seeing Ty lead and inspire our U.S.- and China-based development teams while working closely with our suppliers and partners around the world. Ty’s leadership will play a critical role in shaping Samson’s next phase of innovation and growth.”
