NAMM Foundation Announces $482.5K Given in Grants in 2022

To continue its vision of creating a more musical world, The NAMM Foundation makes it its mission to provide grants to community music-making organizations that are serving as models for outreach and opportunities to make music. This year, a total of $482,500 has been awarded to 23 programs — 17 domestic and six international music organizations. The annual NAMM Foundation grants reflect the generosity of all NAMM members and private donors and their ongoing support for the industry’s annual gathering at The NAMM Show.

Since 1994, The NAMM Foundation and the NAMM market development department have reinvested $201 million to fulfill the organization’s vision to support music education and advance active participation in music-making.

The recipients of this year’s grants are: Anafima Associação Nacional dos Fabricantes de Instrumentos Musicais e Audio; Australian Music Association; the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra; Coalition for Music Education in Canada; the Dallas Wind Symphony; Guitars and Accessories Marketing Association (GAMA); Guitars in the Classroom; Make Music Day/UK; The Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation; Music For All; Music Haven; Music Will (formerly Little Kids Rock); National Piano Foundation; National String Project Consortium; Orchestre a’ L’Ecole; Percussion Marketing Council (PMC); Percussive Arts Society; the San Diego Youth Symphony; SongwritingWith: Inc.; The Sphinx Organization; Technology Institute for Music Educators; Save the Music Foundation; and Young Audiences Arts for Learning.
