Musician’s Workshop in Asheville to Close

After 56 years business, Musician’s Workshop in Asheville, North Carolina, will be closing its on Dec. 30.

“It is with heavy hearts that we announce the closure of Musician’s Workshop,” Frank and Becky Dosier, owners of the shop, said in a press release. “We have had the privilege of being part of countless musicians’ journeys and have enjoyed every moment of serving this wonderful community. We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to all our customers who have supported us throughout the years. It’s been an incredible ride.”

The store was founded in 1967 by John Moritz, and in 1977 longtime employee Frank Dosier and his wife, Becky, purchased the company. They Dosiers said in a statement on their website they plan to retire after the close of the store.
