Music & Arts has recently added two new stores: a brand-new store location in Rockwall, Texas, and a new location in the Portland, Oregon, area through the acquisition of Tigard Music.

Primarily serving the band-and-orchestra community in the Rockwall region, including the Rockwall Independent School District, the new Music & Arts store is located at 919 I-30 Suite 125, Rockwall Crossing in Rockwall. In addition to its inventory, which includes a full range of band-and-orchestra instruments, guitars and keyboards, accessories and more, the Rockwall store offers instrument rentals, lessons and repair services. The new store’s leadership team includes retail manager Kevin Jordan, alongside Jason Comeau and Laurel Carr who serve as senior sales associates.

“We are very excited to add our 14th store in the Dallas/Fort Worth area,” said Jeff Gottlieb, Music & Arts president. “There has been tremendous desire for a Rockwall Music & Arts store for a number of years, and we are so thrilled to see this vision realized. We have a massive advocate and partner in the Rockwall Independent School District, and we look forward to serving the needs of educators, parents and of course the young musicians learning their craft with this new B&O destination.”

Additionally, Music & Arts will now carry on the legacy of Tigard Music through its May 31 acquisition of the 45-year-old retailer, while expanding and enhancing its school instrument rental, lesson, repair and retail services.

While Music & Arts representative Steven Marshall has been serving the community’s music students and educators for several years, and will continue to do so, this is officially the first brick-and-mortar Music & Arts location in the Portland area. As part of Music & Arts, the facility will see an enhanced rental and retail instrument selection, as well as an expanded lessons program.

“I am thrilled that Music & Arts is poised to carry on our fantastic legacy and uphold the commitment to this community that is synonymous with Tigard Music,” said Ron Royse, outgoing Tigard Music president. “Rest assured, our customers will continue to see the same familiar faces in store and receive the outstanding service that they’ve come to expect.”
