Korg, Moog Music Offer Free Apps Amidst Coronavirus Shutdowns

Synthesizer companies Moog Music and Korg are making two musical apps free amid widespread cancellations and quarantine measures due to the coronavirus. Moog’s Minimoog Model D iOS app and Korg’s iKaossilator app for iOS and Android are currently available for free for a limited time.

On Twitter, Moog called the offer, “A gift to spread positivity, creativity and expressivity. A moment to slow down, appreciate our innate strength and experience the uplifting power of sound.”

Similarily, Korg commented on the limited-time free app on its website. “Schools, workplaces and meetings worldwide have been requested to close by their respective governments and so many people are studying and working from home,” Korg wrote. “To help you with a musical way to occupy your mind we have decided to make the Kaossilator app for iOS and Android free of charge for a limited time.” The iOS version is being offered through March 31 and the Android version is being offered from March 13 to March 20.
