Hosa Celebrates 40th with NAMM Show Party

Hosa CEO Mayumi Allison speaks during the company's 40th anniversary party.

On Jan. 24, the day before The NAMM Show started, Hosa Technology hosted a party at the House of Blues in Anaheim, California, to celebrate its 40th anniversary.

Party attendees enjoyed food, an open bar and a live DJ set from legendary Los Angeles disc jockey Richard Blade of rock station KROQ.

Mayumi Allison, company CEO and daughter of founder Sho Sato, gave a speech during the event that reflected on her family business’ milestone.

“Whether you’re a dealer, partner, artist or distributor it takes a village, and you are a part of [that village],” she said. “We aren’t just celebrating Hosa tonight, we’re celebrating each and every one of you.”

During the event, Allison also announced a special collaborative cable with Save the Music Foundation.

“Hosa was founded on five core values, including responsibility,” Allison said during the event. “I’m proud to have one of our partners here tonight, Save the Music Foundation, and we’re thrilled to collaborate on a brand new limited-edition cable where a portion of the proceeds will fund Save the Music’s J Dilla Music Technology Grant.”
