Hal Leonard Europe Reaches Distribution Agreement with Warwick Music Publishing

Hal Leonard Europe has announced a global agreement to distribute Warwick Music Publishing, the sheet music division of Warwick Music Group, effective immediately.

Prior to developing its line of musical instruments in 2010, including the pBone and pTrumpet, Warwick Music started as a specialist brass and wind publisher in 1994 with a single piece by British composer and trombonist Gustav Holst. Its catalog has since grown to include over 1,000 titles covering a variety of genres, styles and abilities, representing composers from across the globe, selling more than 200,000 pieces.

Warwick’s education titles feature a number of talented British composers, including Mark Nightingale, John Kenny and Kay Charlton.

“We are delighted to find such an outstanding partner in Hal Leonard, whose extensive dealer network and distribution expertise will ensure a new international market for our carefully curated print catalog,” said Steven Greenall, CEO of Warwick Music Group. “As we build on the synergies between our instrument and publishing businesses, it was important to work with a partner who shares our purpose and mission to make music accessible, sustainable and fun.”

“HLE is thrilled to represent Warwick Music in print, which further bolsters HLE’s position as the leading distributor of music education resources,” said Tom Farncombe, business development director of HLE. “This vibrant catalog has become hugely significant among music teachers, with Warwick’s roster of composers populating the major exam board brass syllabuses. We are very much looking forward to working with Steven and the Warwick team to find new audiences and grow sales — Warwick’s whole ethos aligns with HLE’s vision of lifelong music-making for everyone, and so this is a perfect partnership.”

Warwick Music will continue to service its digital-only catalog through its website warwickmusic.com.
