This holiday season, Gruv Gear has announced it donated more than $23,000 worth of its GigBlade guitar bags to the El Dorado High School in Placentia, California, to support its holiday fundraisers.

“‘Tis the season for giving,” said Jay Baldemor, president and founder of Gruv Gear. “It feels amazing to be able to give something back to help the music instructors that continue to nurture and foster creativity with students, my youngest son included, during their high school years.”

The donation comes during a year when COVID-19 restrictions have severely affected the ability of school’s music department to deliver their usual program of events, field shows, marching bands, live performances and more.

“I have been a fan of Gruv Gear since [its] inception, and I have enjoyed using Gruv Gear products on gigs, performance tours, and even in my classroom,” said Eric Samson, director of instrumental music at El Dorado High School. “The recent donation of GigBlades to the El Dorado High School Music Program will allow us to raise necessary funds to help our program thrive during these uncertain times.”
