Gretsch Releases ‘Round Badge Stories’ Documentary
Gretsch Drums has premiered its “The Round Badge Stories,” a new documentary exploring the heritage of “That Great Gretsch Sound” as part of the brand’s 140th anniversary celebration.
Premiered at the Gretsch Night anniversary celebration at The Cutting Room in New York City in late May, this documentary features original and exclusive new footage from around the world. Narrated by legendary drummer Vinnie Colaiuta, the 42-minute documentary explores the mystery of ‘That Great Gretsch Sound’ through interviews with more than 15 Gretsch ambassadors and key industry figures, including Fred and Dinah Gretsch.
