Gibson’s Gordon Retires, Appoints Adams as VP Americas

Jeffery Adams

Gibson has celebrated the more than 37-year career of Tom Gordon, who will retire as Gibson’s vice president, commercial Americas, on March 31.

Gordon joined Gibson in 1986 as a district sales manager of the Northwest territory. Throughout his nearly four decades with Gibson, Gordon has overseen and grown specialty and key accounts, built high-performing business development teams, and developed the expansion of the brand portfolio across premium distribution channels in the U.S., Canada and Latin America.

For the past two years, the Gibson leadership team has worked with Gordon to prepare Jeffery Adams for the role of vice president, commercial Americas. Now, Gibson has announced that Adams has permanently stepped into the role and will report to Armin Boehm, CCO of Gibson Brands.

Adams, who was previously director of in-store experience and activation at Gibson, will lead the commercial business development team, the dealer product specialists and the dealer service organization across retail partners in North and South America. Adams joined the Gibson team in 2021 and has been a key player in collaborating with the marketing and business development teams to provide an elevated in-store experience for consumers.

“I’m excited to elevate and promote Jeffery Adams to vice president commercial Americas, and to welcome him as a member of our Gibson extended leadership team,” Boehm said. “Jeffery’s overall experience as a sales, omni-channel and marketing expert, as well as successfully serving in multiple leadership roles, uniquely positions him to drive commercial excellence for Gibson Brands in the Americas. I have full confidence in Jeffery’s ability to transform the Commercial team and build the necessary capabilities and processes to set the conditions for future success.”
