Drum Summit Celebrates Women’s Equality Day 2020

Nearly three dozen of the world’s top female drummers and percussionists will be featured in a day-long, global celebration of drumming, gender equality and the ratification of the 19th Amendment on Women’s Equality Day, Wednesday, August 26, 2020. Presented by Drum Summit, an international organization dedicated to celebrating and cultivating female drummers, the 24-hour event will stream on the Drum Summit Instagram page.

Titled “Drum Summit - It’s Our Time!” to acknowledge the current era of social revolution as well as women’s exceptional rhythmic and drumming skills, the stream will include performances, workshops and interviews by leading artists from Africa, Europe, Asia and North and South America.
