Classic Pianos has been recognized as Global Bösendorfer Dealer of the Year during a ceremony held at the dealer’s headquarters in Portland, Oregon.

While Bösendorfer named Classic Pianos its U.S. Dealer of the Year in 2019, this is the first time the company has presented this award to a piano dealer on a worldwide level, citing Classic Pianos’ global excellence in the preparation of Bösendorfer pianos, in addition to its well-trained and dedicated staff.

Built in Austria, Bösendorfer instruments are known for its handcrafted designs and superior sound, true to the culture of Viennese instruments. Bösendorfer is owned by the Yamaha Corporation.

“Classic Pianos is a valuable partner that makes our success possible, representing the vision of our founder, as well as our Viennese heritage to build instruments with the unique and inspiring Bösendorfer sound,” said Sabine Grubmüller, managing director of Bösendorfer. “Classic Pianos not only offers one of the most extensive selections of Bösendorfer instruments anywhere in the world, but it also represents and shapes the Bösendorfer brand in an exemplary manner.”

With a family history of restoring pianos and a passion for the craft, Maurice Unis opened Moe’s Pianos in the mid-1970s. In 2001, Maurice opened Classic Pianos with his oldest son, Brian, and since then has expanded operations to include a 30,000 square-foot showroom and headquarters that are home to a diverse community of technicians, piano teachers and a piano moving company, as well an acoustically enhanced recital hall. Today, all three Unis sons have become involved with the business that leads each market they represent, including locations in Portland, Oregon; Bellevue, Washington; Las Vegas; Albuquerque, New Mexico; Denver; Boston; and Anchorage, Alaska.

“Our team at Classic Pianos is deeply honored to receive this prestigious award from Bösendorfer,” said Maurice Unis, owner of Classic Pianos. “This achievement commemorates the excellence in sales, service and representation we strive to provide for this legendary piano maker and to every potential Bösendorfer customer who enters our showroom. We thank our customers for making it possible for us to receive this award.”
