Barry “Foz” Fasman Passes at 76

Barry "Foz" Fasman

Barry “Foz” Fasman, who participated in several educational and panel sessions at The NAMM Show over the years, passed away recently. He was 76 years old.

Foz wrote over 30 songs for the NBC television series Fame. The show led to sales of over 4 million records. As an arranger and conductor, Fasman worked on several top selling recordings including Melissa Manchester’s “Don’t Cry Out Loud”, Diana Ross’ “It’s My Turn” and Air Supply’s “Every Woman in the World.” He joined a TEC Tracks panel at the 2017 NAMM Show and provided his views on recording vocals and creating vocal tracks.
