NOV. 7 I SWEETWATER I PERSONNEL
Sweetwater's Surack O.K. After Helicopter Crash

Chuck Surack, Sweetwater Sound's founder and president, was back at work on Friday, Nov. 4, after piloting a helicopter that crashed in an Indiana cornfield on Nov. 3.

According to Fort Wayne's Journal Gazette, Surack was flying five friends in his single-engine Eurocopter EX 130 helicopter from Fort Wayne, Ind., to Indianapolis when they encountered severe weather.

A statement made by Sweetwater said the helicopter "encountered severe and unexpected weather and was forced to make a difficult, but controlled landing." After landing in a cornfield near Noblesville airport in Nobleville, Ind., Surack and the five passengers escaped from the helicopter before it caught fire. No injuries were reported.
