Conn-Selmer Relocates, Earns Grants

Conn-Selmer recently announced that production in its Elkhorn, Wis., brass instrument facility has relocated to its Eastlake, Ohio, manufacturing plant.

In a separate move, the company announced that production at its Leblanc facility in La Couture-Boussey, France, will move to its woodwind facility in Elkhart, Ind. The Elkhorn facility will be closed, and the French building has been sold.

In addition, the Elkhart plants were awarded a $47,500 Skills Enhancement Fund grant from the Indiana Economic Development Corp.

Of the total grant funds, $26,000 is intended for training 75 new Indiana-resident employees, and $21,500 is intended to train 250 current Indiana-resident employees.
