Roland’s SP-404MKII Creative Sampler and Effector is the newest generational model in the SP compact sample series. Synonymous with lo-fi hip-hop, Roland SP samplers have allowed a generation of artists to enjoy the creativity of producing the glitched effects, samples, and loops the genre has become known for. The SP-404MKII features all the same features as its predecessors — along with some upgrades, including 17 ultra-expressive pads and updated knobs for smooth, hands-on control. Beatmaking is even quicker with speedy boot time and fast project loading and sample import. Project access is also easier via 16 GB of internal storage, which comes preloaded with a large collection of curated samples.
