Modern Vintage has released its MVJ5-series of five-string basses. The addition of the the five-string version of the MVJ4-66 bass allows five-string players access to the superior build quality and tone of the Modern Vintage product line. Period correct materials are used when appropriate, and the bass is available with either a torrified maple or slab Indian Rosewood fingerboard in a variety of colors. Modern Vintage instruments reach back into the classic guitar and bass designs, but feature improvements and updates that affect the usability of each guitar and bass without tampering with the formula of the sound, feel and look of the originals.
