Ibanez has revamped its Altstar offerings with the new ALT20 and redesigned ALT30 lines. The new ALT20 line features a Sapele top as well as Sapele back and sides. It also comes equipped with Ibanez AEQ2UT on-board preamp and an onboard tuner. This model is offered in either a weathered black open pore or open pore natural finish. The ALT30, the original Altstar, is offered with the same specs as the previous design but in three new, unique finishes: Blue Doom Burst High Gloss, Red Doom Burst High Gloss and Transparent Black Sunburst High Gloss. Both models incorporate the same Altstar construction which features a compact body, 25 1/2-inch scale length, narrow string spacing, a neck joint at the 16th fret for better high fret access and a stain finish maple neck.
