Black Swamp Percussion has added the Overture Slapstick to its Overture series. The Overture Slapstick is designed to deliver professional-level construction and a consistent whip-crack sound. The Overture Slapstick features 20-inch by 4-inch soundboards crafted from 12-millimeter birch ply-wood. This specific ply construction ensures the boards remain straight and resist warping over the life of the instrument. To enhance the acoustic crack, the design includes dual offset air vents that let air escape rapidly upon impact. A heavy-gauge hinge provides smooth, quick action and maintains proper contact between the boards for a reliable performance every time.
