Audio-Technica has re-introduced its ATM25 Hypercardioid Dynamic Instrument Microphone. This classic kick-drum mic, first introduced in 1983, has now fully returned to the A-T lineup. Designed for focused capture of high SPLs at close range, this hypercardioid dynamic microphone is ideal for kick drums, but it also excels at capturing toms, brass and other highly dynamic instruments. The ATM25 is also well suited for miking electric guitar and bass cabinets. Its ability to handle high sound pressure levels, combined with a warm, full-bodied low-frequency response and tightly focused hypercardioid polar pattern, allows the microphone to capture high-output sources with exceptional clarity, definition and impact, while providing effective rejection of unwanted off-axis sound. Its rugged, all-metal body incorporates a stand clamp and multilevel grille, ensuring easy setup and reliable performance in the studio or on the stage.
