  Music product retailers present an $11,647 check to St. Jude’s U.S. MUSIC RETAILERS I OUTREACH U.S. music product retailers dropped by St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital on May 4 for a tour of the facility and to present a check for $11,647. The 13 participating retailers raised the funds during the 2007 holiday season, collecting $1 donations at the cash register. Charitable consumers then wrote their names on pin-ups that were displayed in the stores. Eighty-five cents of each dollar went directly to St. Jude’s research to help children with cancer and other diseases. The retailers included Portman’s Music in Savannah, Ga.; Amro Music Store in Memphis, Tenn.; Ward-Brodt in Madison, Wis.; Playground Music Center in Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; Tarpley Music in Amarillo, Texas; Eckroth Music in Bismarck, N.D.; Buddy Rogers Music in Cincinnati; Griggs Music in Davenport, Iowa; Menchey Music in Hanover, Pa.; Kincaid’s Music in Springfield, Ohio; Paige’s Music in Indianapolis; Beacock’s Music in Vancouver, Wash.; and Senseney Music in Wichita, Kan. The participating stores sent representatives to St. Jude’s in Memphis to present the check.
