Music & Arts Acquires Anaheim Band Instruments

Music & Arts has acquired Anaheim Band Instruments, adding to its growing footprint in Southern California. Following the company’s recent expansion into Rancho Cucamonga and Corona, the acquisition of Anaheim Band Instruments represents Music & Arts’ third location in the region, with a fourth store planned in San Dimas, Calif. Music & Arts will operate the business under the name Anaheim Band Instruments, part of the Music & Arts family.

Founded by David and Diane Browne in 1982, Anaheim Band Instruments specializes in brass and woodwind instruments. The partnership between Anaheim Band Instruments and Music & Arts will provide customers with a wider selection of instruments and create more educational and performance opportunities, while continuing to offer instrument repair and maintenance services. The acquisition also gives Anaheim Band Instruments access to a state-of-the-art distribution center and an educational representative sales force. Until they retire this summer, David and Diane will remain on staff to ensure continuity and a link to the store’s existing customers.

“David and Diane have built Anaheim Band Instruments into an Orange County institution,” said Allan Greenberg, Music & Arts’ executive vice president of operations. “We are excited to work with them and help build on their great tradition of supporting new and experienced musicians throughout Southern California.”

“Diane and I have had the privilege of sharing our passion for music with the schools, families and musicians of Orange County since 1982,” David Browne said. “As we move on to the next phase in our lives, we want to thank our customers for more than 30 great years of support and sharing great music. We are confident that the partnership with Music & Arts will further enhance the qualities that made Anaheim Band Instruments this community’s music destination.”
